Press Department - Czech Embassy, 31 January, 2003

The Embassy of the Czech Republic is pleased to announce that the official ceremony for the kind donation by the Czech Government within the framework of cooperation will be held in the first week of February.

The donation consists of surgical gloves (44,000 pairs) and drugs including Ibuprophene, Paracetamol, Diclophenac, Digoxin, Amoxicillin and Amlodipine worth over 50,000 dollars.

Recipients are the Hospital de Clínicas José de San Martín of the city of Buenos Aires by means of the hospital’s Social Aid Foundation and the 4 de Junio Hospital in the city of Roque Saenz Peña, province of Chaco.

The donation ceremony for the Hospital de Clínicas will be held on Wednesday, February 5, at 11 o’clock on the hospital’s address, with the presence of the institution’s medical authorities, the Foundation and the National Government.

On the same week, the donation ceremony for the 4 de Junio Hospital will be conducted in Chaco.

The Czech Embassy is deeply glad to make this generous contribution, which is the expression of the traditionally good relations between our countries and of the sympathy felt by the Czech people. This is not the first time an action of this kind is taken for last year the Ceské Budejovice Rotary Club donated insulin worth 81,000 dollars, which reached hospitals country-wide thanks to the efforts of Argentine Rotary members.
